I just joined the Halloween Artist Bazaar – “Halloween Artist Bazaar is an emporium for unique handcrafted Halloween, holiday art, oddities and curiosities. Here collectors will find self-representing artist who create in the vein of nostalgic, whimsical, macabre and fantasy year round. The artists sell their handcrafted wares through their own selling venues, shops and websites and are gathered together as a collection of artist as an online art bazaar. Members collaborate as Halloween Artist Bazaar artist group to collectively benefit each other in their artistic selling endeavor through promotion and cross promotion under the Halloween Artist Bazaar title.”
MF Gallery 10th Anniversary Group Show, NYC
The MF Gallery in New York is celebrating their 10th year by inviting every artist who’s ever shown there to send in a piece of artwork that’ll be sold for a flat $100. I am one of those. The opening party is June 8th from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm; additional details at MFGallery.net.

Saddened today to learn of the death of Ray Harryhausen, one of the single most influential artists of my youth. Here’s a trailer to a movie I saw when I was very young, which forever affected my imagination and insured I saw every other movie the man made in the ensuing years.
Vanna Frite
Ol’ Vanna here will be 8 feet tall on the main stage of The Price Is Fright at TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show in St. Louis next week, which will include a live Vanna Frite contest (similar to Zombie Pinups). Tickets are on sale now!
